Software firm Dynatrace acquires Israeli AI startup Metis

Dynatrace, a software intelligence company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has acquired Israeli startup Metis, which specializes in AI solutions for database observability.

The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, but industry estimates place the deal in the tens of millions of dollars.

Founded in 2021, Metis develops AI technology that monitors and optimizes the performance of cloud-native databases.

Based in Tel Aviv, the company has raised US$5 million in funding from investors like UpWest and Spider Capital. It employs around 10 people.

This acquisition highlights Dynatrace’s commitment to improving database observability as the use of cloud-native technologies becomes ever more critical in software development.
