🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Physical AI is pursuing tough regulated fields before its product arrives
- Physical AI said it is testing humanoids with a US pharmaceutical company. It also named Daimler, Carrier, and VitaQuest as customers or partners.
- The plan centers on industries where precision and safety rules are strict, giving the company a chance to prove the technology in settings that carry high stakes.
- That choice stands out because its main product, the Industrial Super Humanoid, is not due until Q3 2026.
The operating system may matter more than the robot
- Physical AI is also building Eywa-OS, an orchestration layer. That move hints at a future built around software rather than only hardware.
- The pattern resembles smartphones, where much of the value gathered around operating systems such as iOS and Android instead of the devices themselves.
- If Eywa-OS becomes a standard for running humanoid fleets, the company could build a stronger position through software licensing and face less pressure from hardware rivals in robotics.
