SG investment firm Future Wealth launches $50m VC fund
Future Wealth Investments, a Singapore-based investment firm, has launched a debut venture capital fund targeting US$50 million, with an additional US$10 million “green shoe” option.
The fund plans to invest from pre-seed to series A, writing initial cheques of US$250,000 to US$5 million, and building a portfolio of around 20 startups.
Future Wealth said it will be sector-agnostic but expects to focus on AI, consumer businesses, supply chain and logistics, and hardware-led innovation, with investments across India, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore.
Its existing portfolio includes petcare brand Heads Up For Tails, fintech platform Mobipay, quick commerce startup Zippee, and satellite communications firm Tantrayut.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
A finance veteran’s playbook for early-stage investing
- Rohit Kapoor leads the firm. He was an investment banker and spent over two decades in private banking and wealth management at HSBC and Crédit Agricole 1.
- The fund targets an India–Singapore–UAE corridor 2. It relies on India’s founder ecosystem, Singapore’s access to institutional capital (large pools of money managed by professional investors), and the UAE’s role as a hub for founders building global businesses 2.
- Future Wealth plans a concentrated portfolio of about 20 companies. The approach favors a smaller set of bets with hands-on involvement 1.
- An advisory board includes founders of publicly listed companies in India and the UAE. The group also taps operators (startup executives), investors, and capital allocators (people and firms that decide where to invest money) across Silicon Valley and Asia 3.
Early-stage investing continues despite a tougher macro backdrop
- The firm launched a $50 million fund during a challenging macroeconomic environment 2. The source gives no figures on overall regional investor appetite 2.
- Its India–Singapore–UAE focus fits the view of the UAE as a hub for India-origin founders expanding globally 2. The source calls the UAE a key hub, and it does not treat this as a proven launchpad trend 2.
- Future Wealth backs founders from pre-seed to Series A 3. It often invests before clear market categories exist, and the source stops short of claiming a region-wide shift away from late-stage funding 3.
