Schneider Electric plans to open a Southeast Asia training center in Malaysia this year as AI infrastructure increase power demand in the region.

Analysts expect Southeast Asia’s data center capacity to triple by 2030.

Malaysia has drawn investments from Microsoft, Amazon, and Google while handling about 13% of global semiconductor testing and packaging.

The center will train partners and customers on energy management systems and data center equipment, said Schneider executive Henri Berthe.

Schneider uses AI tools to help customers manage cooling and other power use,.

The technology can cut energy consumption by 2% to 3%, he added.
