OpenAI has launched new search features for its ChatGPT product.

The update enhances ChatGPT’s ability to provide current information and attributes responses to news publishers and data sources.

The search feature uses OpenAI’s 4o model and its available to ChatGPT Plus and Team users on mobile and web platforms from Thursday.

Free users will access the feature in the coming months.

With this feature, OpenAI aims to compete with Microsoft and Google. These companies have similar AI search functionality.
