Bhavish Aggarwal, founder of Ola, is investing US$230 million in Krutrim, an AI startup he founded.

The funding, primarily sourced from Aggarwal’s family office, is part of a broader effort to raise US$1.15 billion by next year, with external sources contributing the balance.

Krutrim announced plans to make its AI models open-source.

It also revealed a partnership with Nvidia to develop what it describes as India’s largest supercomputer.
