Nvidia supplier King Yuan Electronics to invest $1.4b in US

King Yuan Electronics, a Taiwan-based chip-testing company and supplier to Nvidia, said it plans to invest up to US$1.4 billion to establish a facility in the US.

The company did not disclose the facility’s location, construction timetable, or which customers it would serve.

The move adds to a broader expansion by Taiwanese semiconductor and electronics companies in the US after Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s multibillion-dollar investment in Arizona.

Foxconn and Wistron are also building AI server manufacturing capacity in Texas for Nvidia.
