Nvidia, ServiceNow expand partnership for AI agents
Nvidia and ServiceNow expanded their partnership to help businesses manage autonomous AI agents.
It is including a desktop agent that uses Nvidia security tools and ServiceNow governance software.
The companies unveiled ServiceNow Project Arc, an autonomous desktop agent secured by Nvidia OpenShell and governed by ServiceNow AI Control Tower.
They said the products are aimed at companies deploying AI agents across desktops, clouds, data centers, applications, and workflows.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
ServiceNow wants to be the main control layer for enterprise AI
- Large companies now run AI agents across many systems and vendors. That spread makes oversight harder and can weaken control 1.
- ServiceNow AI Control Tower is meant to give companies one place to find, watch, govern, secure, and measure AI systems across enterprise software and infrastructure, no matter where those systems run 2.
- The plan leans on ServiceNow’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB), which maps digital assets to the business services, employees, and processes they support. That added context helps companies understand AI actions 2.
The partnership sketches out auditable autonomous work
- Project Arc is built to reason through tasks, write code, take actions, and adjust when plans go off course. It runs inside Nvidia OpenShell, a sandboxed environment that helps isolate software for security 3.
- ServiceNow AI Control Tower is built to govern each step an agent takes, including files it reads, commands it runs, and application programming interfaces (APIs) it calls. It does that through policies, behavior tracking, and activity logs that support audits 3.
- This governed approach also reaches data center operations. ServiceNow AI Control Tower is part of Nvidia Enterprise AI Factory, a pre-validated design for running AI workloads at scale 3.
