Nvidia joins $20b series E funding in xAI

xAI has raised US$20 billion in a series E funding round, exceeding its initial US$15 billion target.

Investors include Valor Equity Partners, Stepstone Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Qatar Investment Authority, MGX, Baron Capital Group, Nvidia, and Cisco Investments.

The company said the funds will help expand its AI infrastructure and support the development of new products.

xAI claims to operate large-scale AI supercomputers, known as Colossus I and II, and reports having over one million H100 GPU equivalents at the end of 2025.

The firm said its Grok Voice product is available to users through its apps and Tesla vehicles.

xAI reported about 600 million monthly active users across the X and Grok platforms.
