Nvidia inks Vietnam AI deal, buys VinBrain
Nvidia has signed an agreement with the Vietnamese government to set up AI R&D and data centers in the country.
The announcement came during a ceremony in the capital Hanoi on Thursday, attended by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Financial details of the planned facilities were not disclosed. The partnership focuses on enhancing Vietnam’s AI and digital infrastructure capabilities.
Nvidia also announced it has acquired VinBrain, a healthcare startup owned by the Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup. The value of this acquisition was not revealed.
