NTT Data to buy Microsoft partner WinWire for AI push

NTT Data, an IT services company, said on May 18 that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire WinWire.

The Santa Clara-based Microsoft partner focuses on Azure AI, data engineering, and cloud-native development, and the deal will expand NTT Data’s enterprise AI services.

NTT Data said the deal would add more than 1,000 Azure engineers and AI specialists to its Microsoft unit and bring WinWire’s capabilities in agentic AI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, and modern application development.

WinWire also has delivery centers in India, and the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with Rothschild & Co advising NTT Data.
