Naver Cloud expands AI partnership with Nvidia

South Korea-based Naver Cloud would work with Nvidia on global AI factory projects as demand for AI computing rose.

Nvidia used “AI factory” to describe full-stack infrastructure spanning energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications.

Naver Cloud said the partnership would expand beyond graphics processing unit (GPU) supply to include model development and physical AI.

The announcement builds on an existing relationship.

Nvidia said South Korea planned an initial 13,000 GPUs through Naver Cloud, NHN Cloud, and Kakao Corp. to expand sovereign cloud infrastructure.

Naver Cloud separately planned to deploy more than 60,000 GPUs.

Nvidia also said South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT was pursuing up to 50,000 GPUs for a National AI Computing Center.

Naver Cloud said it would use Nemotron-3 Ultra to improve HyperCLOVA X and jointly research optimization for ultra-large language models.
