Mobility platform Rapido to launch women-only bike taxis
Bengaluru-based ride-hailing company Rapido plans to launch a women-only bike taxi service, “Pink Bikes,” in Karnataka by the end of 2025.
The service will have female drivers exclusively for female passengers.
Co-founder Pavan Guntupalli announced this at the Global Investors Meet, said that it aims to create 25,000 job opportunities for women while ensuring a safer commute.
This follows Uber India’s “Uber Moto Women,” launched in December 2024 with 250 female riders.
The trend shows ride-hailing companies prioritizing safety and inclusivity for women.
