Microsoft joins Israeli cybersecurity firm’s $60m series B
Ox Security, an Israeli cybersecurity startup, has raised US$60 million in a series B funding round.
This round was led by DTCP, with participation from IBM Ventures, Microsoft, Swisscom Ventures, Evolution Equity Partners, and Team8. This brings the total funding to US$94 million.
Founded in 2021 by Neatsun Ziv and Lior Arzi, former employees of Check Point, Ox operates from New York and Tel Aviv.
The platform assists developers and security teams by scanning code for vulnerabilities, modeling threats, and recommending fixes.
It also offers tools for securing supply chains and generating breach reports.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ AI-generated code security emerges as critical market as development practices evolve
Ox Security’s $60 million funding round reflects growing enterprise concerns about unique vulnerabilities in AI-generated code that traditional security tools might miss.
This investment comes as AI transforms the software development lifecycle, with tools like GitHub Copilot automating coding tasks and allowing developers to focus on complex problem-solving rather than routine operations 1.
The stakes are particularly high as reports indicate AI systems are susceptible to a new class of cyberattacks that exploit algorithmic weaknesses rather than traditional software bugs, creating vulnerabilities that cannot be patched easily through conventional methods 2.
Security experts have warned that AI-generated code may contain subtle security flaws that require specialized detection tools, especially as AI-generated code becomes more prevalent in enterprise environments 3.
With IBM, Microsoft, and other major enterprises already investing in this space, Ox’s ability to analyze over 100 million lines of code daily demonstrates the scale at which AI-assisted development now operates in major organizations.
2️⃣ Security tools evolving to address high-stakes AI vulnerabilities across critical sectors
Ox Security’s customer base—spanning from financial services firms like SoFi to government and military entities—highlights how AI security concerns transcend industries and now affect critical infrastructure.
Security researchers have identified five sectors as particularly vulnerable to AI-related security failures: content filtering systems, military applications, law enforcement, automated human tasks, and civil society governance tools 2.
