Microsoft has announced several AI collaborations across major industries in India.

This comes one day after the company pledged to invest US$3 billion in the country over the next two years.

The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is partnering with Microsoft as part of the IndiaAI Mission.

Under this agreement, Microsoft will assist in data collection and synthetic data generation for the initiative.

It aims to train 500,000 individuals in AI technologies by 2026.

Additionally, the company plans to establish an AI Center of Excellence, known as AI Catalysts, to promote rural AI innovation and create AI labs in 20 national skill-training institutes.
