Meta said on June 24 it launched the Small Business Growth Academy in 12 Asia-Pacific markets to train small businesses on digital and AI-enabled tools.

The markets include Singapore, Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The program includes workshops, learning modules, and partner-led training with governments, chambers of commerce, and local partners.

Training will cover Meta products, including AI-enabled advertising tools, Reels, WhatsApp Business, cross-border commerce, and Meta Business Agent.

In Thailand, Meta said it will work with the Ministry of Agriculture to support more than 5,000 farmers through free onsite training and online courses.

The launch builds on earlier Meta efforts that offered training and resources to small-business communities, including Meta Prosper for Asian and Pacific Islander entrepreneurs.

The Deloitte report Meta cited surveyed about 1,100 small and medium-sized enterprises in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

It focused on AI-enabled digital platform tools such as automated messaging, content generation, and personalised interactions.
