TYLsemi, a San Jose-based semiconductor startup developing chiplet platforms and custom silicon for AI infrastructure, emerged from stealth on July 14 after raising US$43 million in an oversubscribed early-stage funding round.

The round was led by Matter Venture Partners, with participation from Viola Ventures, GHOVC, Egis Technology, and strategic investments from other semiconductor and AI infrastructure companies.

TYLsemi said its initial product lineup includes TYL.IO connectivity chiplets, TYL.Power power-delivery chiplets, TYL.Mem, a planned family of memory connectivity chiplets, and TYL.Forge, a custom-silicon platform for chiplet-based designs.

The company said its portfolio also covers input/output, power delivery, memory, and chip integration.

Company posts and the announcement show founders Mohit Gupta and Sunil Bhardwaj previously held engineering roles at Rambus.

TYLsemi said its broader leadership team had backgrounds at Microsoft, PA Semi, TSMC, Intel, and Ampere.

The company said samples of its IO and power chiplets would be available to qualified customers in 2027 in partnership with TSMC.
