Kraken-owned NinjaTrader gets $100m loan from Gulf firm

NinjaTrader, a US retail futures platform owned by Kraken, has signed a US$100 million senior secured private loan arranged by Gulf Partners Group, a Bahrain-based private markets firm.

The deal is Gulf Partners Group’s first investment since it launched in January and provides funding for a broker serving nearly 2 million traders.

Kraken agreed to buy NinjaTrader for US$1.5 billion in 2025. The company has described NinjaTrader as key part of its US derivatives expansion.

The financing also comes as Payward, Kraken’s parent company, expands in Dubai. The company recently received preliminary approval from the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority for additional activities in the market.

Derivatives and lending remain subject to further approvals.
