Israeli startup Legato raises $7m to expand R&D

Israeli startup Legato has raised US$7 million in a seed funding round led by S Capital VC, with participation from Cerca Partners, to develop AI-powered app creation within enterprise SaaS platforms.

Founded in 2025, Legato aims to enable business users, rather than developers, to build applications and workflows using natural language instructions directly inside existing software, maintaining platform governance and control.

The company plans to expand its research and development efforts and grow its AI team with the new funding.

Currently working with SaaS providers in customer relationship management and human resources, Legato intends to extend its solutions to sectors such as financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and energy.

The startup seeks to address challenges related to slow and costly customization processes in enterprise software, emphasizing empowering non-technical users to create tools quickly and independently.
