Intel-backed Buildots, an Israel-based construction software startup, raised US$130 million in an equity round led by O.G. Venture Partners at an estimated valuation of US$1 billion.

The primary-only deal brings Buildots’ total funding since its founding to US$297 million. Its previous round raised US$45 million at a valuation of about US$300 million about a year and a half earlier.

Buildots uses a 360-degree camera, similar to a GoPro, mounted on a construction site manager’s helmet. The system compares on-site progress with project plans, flags delays, and recommends ways to keep construction on schedule.

The company said demand increased with the AI data center construction boom. Buildots has built up a significant backlog of orders from major customers in the US and Europe.

Outside research has framed labor shortages as a bottleneck for AI infrastructure and highlighted pressure in the data center construction labor market.

Customers include Intel, Digital Realty, Bouygues, and HOCHTIEF.
