Indonesia warns TikTok, Roblox over child safety rule

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital sent warning letters to TikTok and Roblox for not fully complying with PP Tunas, which restricts under-16 accounts.

Minister Meutya Hafid said the case could escalate to formal summons if both platforms still do not show full compliance.

Of eight affected platforms, only X and Bigo Live have fully implemented the requirement so far.

The ministry has summoned Meta and Google, while Roblox has discussed a possible offline-only mode for users under 13 without giving a timeline.
