Indonesia targets Nvidia, AWS for investment: minister

Indonesia’s coordinating minister for economic affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, aims to attract investments from global tech companies, including Nvidia and Amazon Web Services (AWS), during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Hartarto held meetings with US-based tech leaders at the event, discussing potential investments in data centers, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

He also met with officials from Nongsa Digital Park in Batam, which is designated as a special economic zone for digital development.

Additionally, Hartarto discussed strategic investment opportunities with Jordanian officials, following a memorandum of understanding between the Jordan Investment Fund and Indonesia.

The WEF serves as a platform for Indonesia to promote its economic policies and foster international cooperation, with President Prabowo emphasizing stability and peace as critical for economic growth.
