Indian trading app Groww said to prepare for IPO

Bengaluru-based stockbroker Groww plans to file for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) within the next 10 to 12 months, targeting a valuation between US$6 billion and US$8 billion.

This could be the first IPO by a digital trading platform in India, according to sources.

The proposed valuation would more than double the company’s US$3 billion valuation from its funding round in October 2021.

Groww, backed by investors such as Peak XV, Tiger Global, and Alkeon, has begun discussions with investment banks and aims to finalize advisors soon.

The firm moved its domicile to India from the United States last year to prepare for the listing.

Groww has declined to comment on this development.
