Indian gaming startup PlaySuper raises $500k seed funding
India’s gaming startup PlaySuper has raised US$500,000 in a seed funding round led by IAN Angel Fund and 100X.VC.
Other participants included angel investors Uday Sodhi, KRS Jamwal, Pratham Mittal, Rajit Bhattacharya, and Ankit Das.
The funds will support product development, market expansion, and team growth.
PlaySuper plans to launch its hyper-personalized in-game store in the coming months, targeting Southeast Asia in the next six months, followed by Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Latin America (LATAM) regions.
Founded in April 2024, PlaySuper offers a gaming commerce platform that lets users shop within mobile games, reducing player churn rates through real-world shopping experiences.
This provides an alternative to traditional monetization methods like ads and in-app purchases.
With India’s gaming industry projected to surpass US$5 billion and global markets exceeding US$500 billion, PlaySuper aims to strengthen partnerships with gaming studios and expand its in-game commerce.
