Indian fintech launches $35m fund for employee stock plans
Hissa, an Indian equity management platform, has launched Hissa Fund I, a US$35 million fund initiative.
The fund aims to address liquidity challenges faced by employees with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) in Indian startups.
It enables employees to convert vested stock options into cash without waiting for IPOs or acquisitions.
Targeting employees series B or later startups, the fund helps them access partial liquidity while maintaining their positions.
Hissa Fund plans to collaborate with 15 to 20 startups, with its first transaction involving AI robotics firm Miko.
