🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Legacy ERP systems create planning gaps that AI startups can exploit
Enmovil’s positioning reveals a fundamental limitation in how enterprises use their existing software infrastructure.
The company’s CEO explained that ERP systems like SAP and Oracle “have long functioned merely as systems of record” while “real planning and operational intelligence have always happened outside the ERP” 1.
This gap creates opportunities for specialized AI platforms to integrate decision-making capabilities directly into existing enterprise workflows.
The approach addresses a widespread challenge across industries where companies invest heavily in ERP systems but still rely on manual processes and external tools for critical supply chain decisions.
Enmovil’s integration strategy, bringing AI-driven planning inside ERP systems rather than replacing them, offers a less disruptive path for enterprise adoption compared to wholesale system replacements.
2️⃣ Manufacturing sector shows strong appetite for AI-driven supply chain solutions
Enmovil’s client roster demonstrates significant traction among India’s largest manufacturers, including automotive leaders Maruti Suzuki and Hero MotoCorp, plus industrial giants like Nestlé and Vedanta Power 1.
The manufacturing sector’s willingness to invest in specialized AI platforms reflects growing recognition that supply chain optimization directly impacts profitability in capital-intensive industries.
