Indian AI visa platform buys Meesho CEO-backed traveltech firm
StampMyVisa has acquired Teleport, a travel tech startup backed by Indian founders including CRED’s Kunal Shah, Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey, and RedBus’s Phanindra Sama.
Teleport, which focuses on young travelers and has a presence in South India, will join StampMyVisa’s B2B visa services platform.
Founded in 2023 and based in India, StampMyVisa lets travel agents, corporates, OTAs, and MICE companies process visas for over 60 countries.
The company said it has processed over 50,000 visas in six months and is in talks to raise US$3 million.
It also offers an API product called Konveyor, which allows other platforms to embed visa services within their apps.
The companies said the acquisition will combine Teleport’s consumer innovation with StampMyVisa’s visa infrastructure. Financial terms were not disclosed.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Digital visa services riding a massive market transformation wave
StampMyVisa’s rapid growth reflects a broader shift toward digitized visa processing that’s creating significant market opportunities.
The global online visa service market is projected to grow from $3.8 billion in 2023 to $11.6 billion by 2032, representing a 12.9% annual growth rate 1. This expansion is driven by over 950 million travelers expected to use digital visa channels in 2025, compared to traditional paper-based processes 2.
SMV’s 99.5% success rate and processing of 50,000+ visas in just six months demonstrates how technology can solve real operational challenges in this growing market.
The timing appears strategic, as governments worldwide are increasingly adopting e-visa platforms to manage application volumes more efficiently, with processing times reduced by 40-60% compared to traditional methods 2.
2️⃣ B2B infrastructure plays prove more scalable than consumer-focused travel apps
The acquisition pattern suggests that B2B travel technology platforms may offer superior scaling advantages over consumer-facing travel apps.
While Teleport focused on young travelers as end consumers, StampMyVisa built infrastructure that serves travel agents, corporates, and OTAs, a model that enabled them to scale revenue 4X in eight months.
