Indian AI platform Gupshup bags $60m in equity, debt financing

Gupshup, a conversational AI platform provider that began its journey in India and is headquartered in San Francisco, has raised over US$60 million through equity and debt financing.

The funding was provided by Globespan Capital Partners and EvolutionX Debt Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance its AI and messaging platform.

It also plans to expand operations in markets including India, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.

Gupshup reports that it processes over 120 billion messages annually for more than 50,000 businesses in 130 countries.

The company aims to focus on product innovation and increasing its global market presence.

It cites growing demand for conversational AI solutions as a factor in its expansion.
