• Hyundai promoted Eunsook Jin to president and named Seokmoon Ryoo CEO of Hyundai AutoEver, effective January 1, 2026, to boost software. AutoEver has not shared product ownership or revenue scale.
• AutoEver builds Mobilgene, Hyundai’s vehicle software platform compliant with Automotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR), used across electrification, chassis, and infotainment since 2016 1. It also makes over-the-air (OTA) update tools, high-precision maps for autonomous driving, plus smart factory platforms (software that digitizes and automates manufacturing) and cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems 2.
• Hyundai plans to convert all electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) models into software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by 2025 with domain-centralized electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture, and OTA updates will be standard from 2023 3. By 2028, the first SDV production model will be a Purpose-Built Vehicle (a vehicle designed for specific commercial uses like shuttles or delivery) that uses Pleos OS with high-performance computing to cut extra hardware controllers 4.

• Hyundai hosted a Pleos SDV Standard Forum with 58 partners including Bosch, Continental, and HL Mando to share standardized development frameworks for secure real-time data exchange 5. The forum aims to move supply chains from hardware focus to software collaboration and build the base for mass SDV production 6.
• Hyundai targets 3.3 million electrified vehicles by 2030 with 60% of sales from EVs and hybrids, so OTA reliability plus cybersecurity compliance will matter 7.
