Hyundai Mobis, South Korea’s largest car parts manufacturer, plans to mass-produce in-vehicle chips for electrification, lamp systems, and other automotive components.

The move follows rising demand for vehicle chips due to the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous driving technology.

The company has identified chips for EV power control and in-vehicle lamp operation as key areas for development.

Hyundai Mobis estimates that modern vehicles may require around 3,000 semiconductor chips.
