HSBC survey: 76% of Singapore investors use AI
HSBC said an Ipsos survey of 609 mass-affluent and high-net-worth investors in Singapore found that 76% use AI for finance and investment tasks.
The bank said adoption in Singapore was 72% among both Gen X and baby boomer investors, vs. 65% and 59% globally.
It added that 8% named AI as the most influential source in their last large investment decision, below the 12% global figure.
In the January to February 2026 study of 9,993 investors across 10 markets, 40% said they preferred using AI first and then consulting an adviser, while 57% preferred AI and advisers working together.
That preference for advisers plus AI also aligns with the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s proposed AI risk guidelines for financial institutions, which cover oversight, governance, and life-cycle controls.
HSBC has already deployed its generative AI-powered Wealth Intelligence platform in Singapore for client-facing wealth staff.
