GM software leader to leave company

Baris Cetinok, General Motors’ senior vice president of software and services product management, will leave the company on December 12, 2025 as part of an ongoing restructuring of GM’s software and product businesses.

This marks the third departure of a senior technology executive from GM in about a month, following exits by software engineering head Dave Richardson, and AI leader Barak Turovsky.

The departures come as GM combines its vehicle software engineering and global product divisions into a single organization led by newly appointed chief product officer Sterling Anderson.

Anderson joined GM earlier this year after cofounding Aurora Innovation and previously leading Tesla’s AutoPilot program.
