Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Holding Group, emphasized that his company will not engage in destructive price wars during a discussion at the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on March 5.

He emphasized the importance of fair competition, efficiency, and profitability as key factors in driving innovation and sustainable economic growth.

Li warned that an excessive focus on price reductions in China’s car market, known as “involution” competition, could threaten long-term sustainability.

Li stated that Geely has committed to competing through technology, quality, service, and branding. The company is steering clear of price-cutting tactics.
