Foxconn begins $137m HQ in China for EVs, energy storage
Foxconn Technology Group has started building a global headquarters for its New Business Development Group in Zhengzhou, China.
The facility will focus on EVs, energy storage, and other emerging industries.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Feb. 27, attended by Foxconn CEO Liu Young-way and Henan provincial governor Wang Kai.
The site spans 70,000 square meters with a development budget of 1 billion yuan (US$137 million).
This project aligns with Foxconn’s strategy to diversify beyond its role as an Apple supplier. Since 2019, the company has expanded into EVs, semiconductors, robotics, and AI.
