Flipkart-backed Shadowfax acquires tech logistics firm

Shadowfax, a logistics startup backed by Flipkart, acquired the technology-driven logistics firm CriticaLog as announced on Jan. 27.

The deal, for an undisclosed amount, aims to strengthen Shadowfax’s capabilities in healthcare, automotive, and IT supply chains.

CriticaLog, founded in 2013, serves over 400 organizations, including multinational companies.

Founded in 2015, Shadowfax began as on-demand logistics provider and has since expanded to offers third-party logistics services to e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands.

The company operates in over 2,500 cities and 18,000 pin codes across India.

This acquisition follows a significant US$100 million funding round led in February 2024 and aligns with Shadowfax’s plans to expand into quick commerce, dark store operations, and same-day delivery services.

Recently, Shadowfax reported a 33% revenue increase for FY24, reaching 1,885 crore rupees (US$218.05 million).
