Maple Finance, a cryptocurrency lending platform, has launched syrupUSDT on Plasma, a blockchain network backed by Tether and focused on payments.

This marks the first time Maple’s syrupUSDT token is available outside the Ethereum network.

From September 16, users can deposit syrupUSDT into a Midas-hosted vault to earn yield and receive rewards linked to Plasma’s mainnet launch.

Maple plans future integrations with decentralized finance protocols on Plasma as the network develops.

Plasma processes transactions using USDT as its main asset and aims to offer faster payments.

Maple previously expanded to Solana and Arbitrum, and its syrupUSDC token recently reached US$1 billion in total supply.
