CrowdStrike to buy Fiddler AI, Dreadnode for $495m
CrowdStrike said it will acquire Fiddler AI, a US-based startup that monitors enterprise AI systems, and Dreadnode, a US-based startup focused on AI security testing, as the cybersecurity company expands its tools for businesses deploying AI.
The reported prices were about US$400 million and US$95 million, respectively.
Fiddler’s software will be integrated into CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform as Falcon Observe. Dreadnode’s testing results will inform security policy recommendations in Falcon Guardian, which CrowdStrike already markets as an AI detection and response offering.
Dreadnode focuses on AI red teaming, helping companies test AI models, applications, and agents for vulnerabilities before deployment.
The deals come as many companies’ policies and processes lag behind AI adoption, and as AI security becomes a clearer market segment, with vendors spending heavily on mergers and acquisitions to add capabilities.
