US-based Credo to buy Israeli chip startup DustPhotonics
US-listed Credo said it has agreed to buy Israel-based DustPhotonics for US$750 million in cash and about 0.92 million shares.
Credo is a connectivity chip company, and DustPhotonics is a fabless semiconductor firm that makes silicon photonics chips for optical transceivers.
The deal would add silicon photonics to Credo’s portfolio and could include up to 3.21 million more shares if DustPhotonics hits financial milestones.
Credo expects the transaction to close in Q2 2026, pending regulatory approvals and other conditions, and said it would be accretive to non-GAAP earnings per share in fiscal 2027.
