Coinbase joins $20m series A of US crypto company Project Eleven

Project Eleven, a New York-based company focused on post-quantum security for digital assets, has raised US$20 million in a series A round led by Castle Island Ventures, with Coinbase Ventures and others joining.

The funding comes amid growing concerns about the impact of quantum computing on existing cryptographic standards used by bitcoin and other blockchain networks.

The company is developing tools to help digital asset networks and institutions manage the transition to post-quantum cryptography, including migration assessments and technical planning.

Project Eleven is working with the Solana Foundation and other blockchain protocols on readiness initiatives.

It previously raised US$6 million in a seed round in June 2025 and plans to release a new product in early 2026 targeting institutions and protocols seeking to upgrade their security.
