ChrysCapital said to lead $200m round of US-based AI platform

MoEngage, an AI-driven customer engagement platform, is reportedly in talks to raise US$200 million in a funding round led by ChrysCapital.

A91 Partners and existing investor Goldman Sachs are also expected to join.

The round will include both primary and secondary investments, potentially valuing the company at US$750 million to US$800 million.

The primary capital will help cover tax costs related to moving its headquarters from the US to India, a redomiciling process estimated to cost US$100 million.

The secondary investment will allow early investors to partially exit.

Founded in 2014 by Raviteja Dodda and Yashwanth Kumar, MoEngage started with a focus on mobile apps and now offers services across SMS, email, in-app messaging, and platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp.

It works with over 1,200 brands worldwide, including Samsung, Flipkart, and Deutsche Telekom.
