Chinese self-driving firm Momenta to raise $751m
Momenta Global, a China-based autonomous-driving technology company, priced its Hong Kong listing at the top of its marketed range on July 7 and will raise HK$5.89 billion, or about US$751 million.
Momenta mainly licenses software to automakers on a per-vehicle basis instead of operating only a robotaxi fleet, making it closer to an ADAS and autonomous-driving supplier than a pure robotaxi operator.
The listing comes as Hong Kong’s initial public offering market raised HK$209.9 billion (US$26.7 billion) across 85 IPOs in the first half of 2026, its strongest first-half showing in five years, including 13 specialist technology listings, according to KPMG.
The listing also follows late-2025 Hong Kong listings by Pony.ai and WeRide.
Both companies fell below their issue prices on their first trading day in the city, while broader aftermarket performance was mixed.
About half traded lower over the previous three months among 179 Hong Kong listings since January 2025.
