Chinese AI vision firm Bohr secures ‘millions’ in series A

Chinese artificial intelligence industrial firm Bohr has raised “millions” in its series A funding round.

The investment – which did not specify the amount – was led by KGI Financial Holding, with participation from Minyin VC and existing backer Broad Stream Capital.

This funding round brings Bohr’s total capital raised to over 1 billion yuan (around US$136.8 million).

The Shenzhen-based startup developed a deep learning network model to test defects in manufacturing. The model’s performance is significantly higher than the industry average for target detection.

The company plans to use the funding to enhance semiconductor testing. It also aims to improve mass production capabilities to bring in the testing for consumer electronics.
