Nanwei Software said its subsidiary Beijing Moqu Vision Network Technology, a China-based game and content developer, has opened a public beta for Beach Romance, its first game for overseas markets.

The official launch is planned for Aug. 1.

The company said the game uses AI for art asset generation, story writing, multilingual localization, numerical tuning, in-game placement, and user operations.

It added that the beta would help refine gameplay, balancing, and the monetization model using feedback from real users.

Nanwei also said Moqu Vision had completed an AI live-action short-drama studio and expected to debut its first overseas AI live-action short drama in August.

The unit is targeting annual production capacity of at least 100 AI live-action short dramas for domestic and overseas markets.

The company said Moqu Vision also aimed to complete research and development and launch two overseas games and two domestic games in 2026.

AI short dramas in China have already faced compliance scrutiny. One series was removed after complaints that its AI-generated visuals had replicated bloggers’ facial features, outfits, and makeup without consent.
