Huayi Technology, a Shanghai-listed sensor maker, said it signed a supply agreement with Mifeng Technology to provide inertial measurement units for Mifeng’s MEgo data-collection devices.

The IMUs will be installed in handheld, head-mounted, and wearable equipment that captures motion data to train robotics and other physical AI models.

Mifeng, a subsidiary of Zhiyuan Robot, markets MEgo as a body-free physical AI data system built around human-worn grippers, head-mounted gear, and a data engine, rather than relying only on robot teleoperation.

One MEgo headset carries a vehicle-grade 9-axis IMU and seven cameras that output red, green, and blue video, pose, audio, and inertial data across settings such as factories, supermarkets, and homes.

Huayi said the deal expands its IMU business from intelligent driving to embodied intelligence data-collection hardware.

Mifeng’s CEO estimated the global stock of high-quality embodied AI data at about 500,000 hours, though that figure appeared to be a company estimate rather than an independently verified industry benchmark.
