CATL, Volkswagen partner on EV battery development

CATL, a Chinese electric vehicle battery manufacturer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Volkswagen, announced on Feb.20

The partnership focuses on battery research and development, new materials, and component production.

Volkswagen China indicated it aims to collaborate with CATL to create cost-effective battery products.

The two companies will also explore initiatives related to battery recycling and swapping.
