ByteDance’s Volcano Engine introduced Doubao Large Model 2.1 Pro at the Force Original Power Conference on June 23, expanding the company’s AI model lineup.

ByteDance said the model had stronger capabilities in requirement understanding, long-term planning, and engineering delivery, with improved programming and agent capabilities.

The release followed Doubao 2.0 Pro, which ByteDance had positioned for the “agent era.”
