Baidu has introduced two new foundation models, Ernie 4.5 and Ernie X1, available for free to individual users through the Ernie Bot platform.

The release occurred on Mar.16, and users can access the models via the official website.

Ernie 4.5 is a multimodal foundation model that integrates and understands text, images, audio, and video.

It features improvements in logical reasoning, memory, and coding abilities.

In contrast, Ernie X1 is a deep-thinking reasoning model tailored for tasks such as advanced search, complex calculations, and logical analysis.

This model also offers support for tools, including AI image generation and document-based question-and-answer.
