Amazon Web Services updated AWS Activate with AI Startup Advisor, a tool available at no extra cost through startups.aws and in developer workflows.

AWS said the tool can help founders set up cloud architecture and deploy local code to AWS from an integrated development environment, or IDE.

The update expands a program often promoted for its credits.

AWS said Activate has supported more than 350,000 startups since 2013 and provided more than US$8 billion in promotional credits.

Members also receive technical support and mentorship, as well as training and partner offers.

Eligible startups are generally pre-series B and founded within the past 10 years, with up to US$200,000 in credits available.

AWS also said Activate now includes expanded migration support, including AI-powered planning for moves from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), OpenAI, or Gemini to AWS.
