Australian legal tech firm Nexl raises $23m series B

Nexl, a Sydney-based legal CRM and collaboration platform, has raised AU$35 million (US$23 million) in a series B round led by US growth equity firm Tidemark Capital.

Founded in 2018 by Philipp Thurner, Nexl helps law firms manage advertising, business development, and operations more efficiently.

The company operates globally with leadership hubs in New York and Chicago, serving over 150 law firms, including several in the AmLaw 100.

Nexl has raised more than AU$45 million (US$29.7 million) in the past two years, following AU$6.6 million (US$4.3 million) in December 2023 and AU$4 million (US$2.6 million) in March 2023.

The new funds will be used for hiring, strategic acquisitions, and expanding the company’s AI capabilities.
