Australian AI healthcare firm Heidi raises $65m, valued at $465m

Heidi, a healthcare AI startup based in Melbourne, has raised US$65 million in a series B funding round led by Point72 Private Investments, with backing from Blackbird, Headline, and LocalGlobe.

The funding round values Heidi at US$465 million and brings its total capital raised to nearly US$100 million.

Heidi develops AI tools that automate administrative tasks for clinicians, including documentation, evidence search, and follow-up communications.

The company says its platform is now used weekly in over 2 million patient consults across 116 countries and 110 languages.

Heidi plans to use the new funding to increase hiring and expand its presence in the US, UK, and Canada, while supporting adoption in France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
